Anima is designed by industrial designer Andreas Sture. The name Anima is Latin and freely translated means soul, air and spirituality. A fitting name for a chair originally created for a brand new church. The recently re-created Garveriet area outside Gothenburg, is a place where thoughts and meetings about eco-friendly food production and sustainability meet and there is also a newly build Equmenia church. The large room needed a chair that would express the same softness, ease and soul that the place does. The chair had to be nice to sit in for a long time and contribute to relaxation and reflection. So the chair was designed for the church, which at the same time serves as a gathering place for a variety of conferences and meetings. And the choice of manufacturer fell on Stolab for our way of looking at sustainable furniture and sustainable production. Anima is made of solid birch with upholstered seat and back. It is also stackable (4 chairs).
